Swiyyah Jackson was born in Baltimore. At an early age she would find books as an escape to the abuse she was going through. Swiyyah started writing poetry in high school. Even though she was raised in foster care she has always had a passion and a love for helping others. She has been a nurse for fifteen years. Swiyyah is a mother of four children and a grandmother of one. She loves to travel. At age 36 Swiyyah wrote her first book "Still a Rose".
